Landmark disaster relief fundraiser

Landmark’s livestock division is conducting a fundraising initiative to offer clients the opportunity to donate livestock or the proceeds from the sale of livestock towards helping regional communities around Australia affected by floods.

Called the Landmark Disaster Relief Fundraiser, the initiative follows last week’s donation of $100,000 to the Australian Red Cross by Landmark’s Canadian parent company, Agrium Inc.

Landmark’s national livestock manager, Alistair Brook, said all Landmark’s branches with livestock agents were participating in support of the company’s efforts to help people cope with the floods.

“Livestock producers can nominate if they would like to contribute as part of their regular sales process, some or all of the proceeds from the sale of selected livestock,” he said.

“Alternatively, they can donate stock that we will sell on their behalf, and either way we are already receiving feedback from producers that this is a practical way for them to contribute.

“All funds raised will be going to the Australian Red Cross, which has been so active in flooded regions providing assistance to people in need,” Mr Brook said.

Any livestock producer who wishes to participate in the Landmark Disaster Relief Fundraiser is encouraged to contact their local Landmark branch.
