Agronomy:

 

  Agronomy is the application of a combination of sciences like biology, chemistry, ecology, earth science, and genetics. Agronomists today are involved with many issues including producing food, creating healthier food, managing environmental impacts, and creating energy from plants. Agronomists often specialise in areas such as crop rotation, irrigation and drainage, plant breeding, soil classification, soil fertility, weed control, insect and pest control and other areas.

Agronomist:  An expert in soil management and field-crop production.
Animal Nutritionist:  Specialises in the dietary needs of agricultural animals. Animal nutrition is a science combining chemistry, physics, biochemistry, mathematics, animal behaviour, economics, food processing and animal production techniques.
Forestry:  Forestry is the art, science, and practice of studying and managing forests and plantations, and related natural resources
Horticulture: Horticulture deals with plant propagation and cultivation, crop production, plant breeding and genetic engineering, plant biochemistry, and plant physiology. The work particularly involves fruits, berries, nuts, vegetables, flowers, trees, shrubs, and turf. Horticulturalists work to improve crop yield, quality, nutritional value, and resistance to insects, diseases, and environmental stresses.
Pastures: Pasture is land with herbaceous vegetation cover used for grazing of ungulate livestock as part of a farm or ranch. The pasture growth can include grasses, legumes, shrubs or a mixture.
Viticulture: The management of all aspects of a vineyard, including monitoring and controlling pests and diseases, fertilizing, irrigation, canopy management, monitoring fruit development and characteristics, deciding when to harvest and vine pruning during the winter months.
