Rare opportunity – AACo breeder sale

Landmark will auction 3760 breeding cows and heifers from the Australian Agricultural Company in Roma on 20 August, presenting a very rare opportunity to obtain exceptional quality breeders from this source.

Landmark’s general manager of agency operations, Richard Norton, said the sale would comprise Santa Gertrudis, including calves at foot, and composite lines, which were only being sold because they were surplus to AACo’s requirements.

“ The opportunity for cattle producers here is outstanding, both in terms of quality and sheer numbers available,” Mr Norton said.

“Principally from Brunette Downs and with some from Headingly Station, the cattle will begin arriving in Roma on 13 August for pregnancy testing ahead of the sale, which means their full status will be available to potential buyers.

“AACo operates an extensive breed development program focused around adaptation to subtropical production systems, productivity and meat quality, so buyers at Roma will be accessing the benefits of that work.

“I’d encourage anyone interested in this offering to contact their Landmark agent as soon as possible,” Mr Norton said.

Full details of the sale are available on the Landmark livestock web page: Livestock Feature Sales.
