World demand for wool beginning to pick up

Landmark's January Edition of the Wool Economic Focus has been released, and has analysed the top five wool exporting countries' performance in the first half of the 2009/10 season, and noted that demand for wool seems to be picking up, with raw wool exports from the major exporting countries lifting in the first half of the 2009/10 season. With wool production in Australia expected to remain low in 2009/10, this improved demand is likely to bring continued growth in wool prices, particularly for wool where supply is constrained.
