The Landmark Australian Country Football Council’s Championships is a biennial event which brings together spectators, officials and the country’s best regional and rural Australian Rules Footballers. In 2012, Wagga Wagga will host the competition for the first time since 2000. The competition will run from the 19 to 22 July.
Landmark have been proud sponsors of this event for over 24 years and we highly value our relationship with country football. Our ongoing loyalty and contribution to Country Australian Rules Football is seen through the sponsorship of many local clubs over the years. With almost 50% of currently listed AFL players originating from regional and rural Australia this is a great opportunity to come and see the up and coming stars of tomorrow.
The competition will begin with a civic welcome in Wagga on Wednesday 18 July with round robin games occurring over Thursday 19 July and Friday 20 July at McPherson and Maher Ovals. The carnival will conclude on Sunday 22 July with finals and the grand final being played at McPherson Oval in North Wagga. There will be teams at the carnival representing New South Wales/ACT, South Australia, Western Australia, Queensland and two Victorian teams.
Landmark invites all customers, staff and interested footy fans to come along to what should be a great
exhibition of Australian Rules Football.
