Landmark sponsors Wool Producer of the Year

Landmark is sponsoring the Wool Producer of the Year at the Kondinin Group and ABC Rural, inaugural Australian Farmer of the Year awards event.

The Australian Farmer of the Year Awards will celebrate the highly professional, innovative and sustainable approach of our farmers, showcasing their passion and raising the profile of the important role they play in Australia. Wool is one of seven individual categories in the awards program.

National Wool Manager for Landmark, Kym Gunn, said Landmark had chosen to sponsor the wool producer award as part of its commitment to industry best practice.

“As a leader in the wool industry we seek to promote the most productive and sustainable farming operations,” Mr Gunn said.

“We see this award as part of showcasing examples of industry best practice, drawing out ideas and innovation that other producers can learn from and use to further develop their own operations, for the benefit of the whole industry.

“The Wool Producer of the Year is a natural fit for us and will build on other activities Landmark’s wool team is involved with, such as the Australian Fleece Competition, held recently in Bendigo.

“Leading wool producers will be helping their industry by stepping forward to nominate for this award, so we would encourage them to do so,” Mr Gunn said.
