Allendale Clearing Sale

 

A huge crowd of over 700 people comprising 380 registered bidders fiercely competed for the 431 lots of modern, well maintained plant and equipment offered by Landmark Charleville and Roma on account of Allendale Cattle Company at a clearing sale Friday August 15 2008 on property “Allendale” Augathella.  Buyers arrived on masse in cars, aeroplanes and helicopters from all parts Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria backed by strong local interest from Southern Queensland.

The feature items offered for sale included a Caterpillar D8L dozer selling for $275,000, Caterpillar D9L $155,000, Hyundai Loader $129,000, Champion Grader $90,000, Caterpillar D7E $55,000. Toyota Landcruiser utes were a feature of the day and attracted intense interest with a 2007 V8 Ute realising $54,000 and the balance of the vehicles selling to an exceptionally strong market.  A large range of plant and equipment including tractors, trailers, motorbikes, welders, grain feeders all went under the hammer on the day for a 99.5% clearance.

 

Roma based Rural Property Specialist Darryl Langton said that quality catalogue sold to a very strong market and thanked all buyers and underbidders and the Allendale Cattle Company for consigning their properties  and their plant and machinery to Landmark.

 

He praised Richard Aird, Kevin Cann, Richard Aird Snr and David Simms for the excellent manner in which they presented the equipment, and the ICPA for the excellent job of catering for the large crowd. Feedback from the large crowd in attendance congratulated the Landmark staff from Roma and Charleville for their professional auctioneering and accounting and getting on with the job with the large catalogue sold in 4 ½ hours.
