Landmark announces alliance with E*TRADE

Landmark, one of Australia’s biggest agribusiness companies, has joined forces with innovative online trading company E*TRADE Australia to facilitate online share trading services for rural and regional clients.

Landmark’s unique understanding of agribusiness clients and their financial needs prompted its decision to join with E*TRADE to offer clients a more convenient way to invest.

General Manager for Landmark’s Financial Services, Colin Taylor, said the alliance will utilise the existing Landmark distribution platform and website to provide clients with access to online share trading.

“Our alliance with E*TRADE demonstrates the commitment of Landmark’s Financial Services to provide solutions to meet the needs of our clients,” Mr Taylor said.

“This complements Landmark’s journey of the past two years to build a diversified financial services offering, which has included the acquisition of Adelaide Bank’s rural finance book, the formation of a wealth alliance with Genesys Wealth Management and the launch of new transactional account services.”

E*TRADE Managing Director, John Daley, said E*TRADE’s alliance with Landmark aimed to provide rural and regional Australians with more convenient access to online trading.

“We recognise that regional customers are looking for improved access to online trading that is both simple and convenient. E*Trade’s alliance with Landmark will provide customers with  simple information, products and tools to buy and sell shares online, as well as access to more than 500 Managed Funds,” Mr Daley said.

Landmark clients can now access the E*TRADE service via http://finance.landmark.com.au/savings-and-investment-solutions/share-trading/ to buy and sell shares and managed funds.

Background - In 1998, E*TRADE Australia Securities Limited (”E*TRADE”) was the first online broker to execute an electronic trade in Australia.  Today E*TRADE continues to set standards for online investing with a commitment to delivering premium service that enables all Australians to unlock the potential of online share trading..
