Landmark and gps-Ag form Alliance to deliver Precision Farming Service


Landmark, one of Australia’s leading agribusiness companies, has joined forces with leading Precision Agriculture supplier gps-Ag to deliver Precision Farming services and products to farmers throughout Australia.


Landmark National Farm Services Manager, Bruce Cairns, said the alliance will enable Landmark to provide consultative services to their regional and rural clients that accommodate the growing demand for Precision Farming advice.


”There is a clear demand from our regional and rural customers for a service which provides advice on how to implement elements of Precision Farming particularly Site Specific Crop Management and this alliance will service that need,” Mr Cairns said.


“Landmark with over 200 trained agronomists throughout Australia working with a specialty Precision Farming organisation in gps-Ag is in an excellent position to provide the service.”


Managing Director gps-Ag, Peter Johnston said the alliance would provide a unique, Australia-wide Precision Farming service combining Australia’s largest independent provider of Precision Agriculture equipment, gps-AG, with one of the largest national providers of agronomic advice and agricultural input products, Landmark.


“Precision Farming and in particular Site Specific Crop Management is a specialist field that has traditionally been serviced by individuals or small businesses,” Mr Johnson said.


“The growing demand for this type of service will ensure this alliance is successful as a grower can now source the hardware, data processing and agronomy from the same provider. - Landmark Australia-wide.”
